Learn how to solar dye silk fabric with natural dyes! This technique will also work on yarns and other fabrics, but we will be dyeing silk in class. Use flowers, leaves, and other natural dye materials to create your own glass solar dye jar that you’ll take home and leave in a sunny window to finish your silk scarf dye project. All materials provided! We will be using fresh beautiful plants and flowers including ones generously provided by Middlebrook Farm in Cumming, Iowa, Tuesday August 25th, 6:30-7:30 PM. Class will be held outdoors in a shady area.
