The Girl With The Sword (me) has been making handspun yarns since somewhere around 2006. It started innocently… with learning to knit. Soon there was a drop spindle, some roving. As these things go, eventually it blossomed into natural dyeing, dyeing silks and cotton fabrics, acquiring wheels, more wheels, a drum carder, multiple looms…well, you know the story. I have been spinning, dyeing, teaching, weaving, and generally creating mystical and magical textured art yarns for at least 20 years now, with no plans to stop.

Everything you see here was made with love and intention and the help of a few felines. I love to wildcraft and grow my own dyes, and often source wool hyper-locally, reclaming it from farmers who had no use for it.
